Bead Talk...
Bead Care - To keep your beads and jewelry looking great, avoid water, lotions, sprays, perfumes and sweat. Remove them before showering, swimming, or exercising to ensure their longevity and looking beautiful for years to come.
Firepolished Beads are created by pouring hot liquid glass into molds which are then faceted. The last step is to expose them to a high heat which softens the hard edges and gives them their shine and brilliance!
Picasso Beads have a luster coating that appears more speckled and spotty; giving beads a natural, earthy appearance. The color can vary from light yellow to dark brown with underlying color variations. Some base bead colors, like beige, blue, or white allow the Picasso finish to take on a Raku pottery look.

Jewelry Wire
Silver Tone - I use 14, 18, 20, and 24-gauge fine silver-plated copper wire with a tarnish-resistant coating for my Rembrandt bracelets, earring designs, and earwires. According to the manufacturer, this American-made, 99% pure smooth copper wire is plated with fine silver, then given a clear protective coating for a resilient finish.

Gold Tone - I use 14, 18, and 20-gauge fine silver-plated copper wire with a gold-colored protective coating for my earring designs and earwires. According to the manufacturer, this American-made, 99% pure smooth copper wire is plated with fine silver, then given a gold-colored protective coating for a resilient finish.

Jeweler's Brass - I use 14 and 20-gauge Jeweler's brass wire for my Boho bracelets and Tranquility earrings. This material is essential for jewelry making - a great choice when you want a color as close as possible to 14K yellow gold at a more affordable price point. It is also known as red brass, NuGold, Merlin's gold, and jeweler’s bronze. *While it does tarnish over time, you can easily restore its shine by using a jeweler's rouge cloth (typically used for sterling). This will keep your jewelry looking radiant!

Silver Filled - I use "Parawire10+", which has a 10% fine silver content, making it behave just like solid sterling silver—so it will patina with age. You can easily polish it by using a jeweler's rouge cloth. (typically used for sterling). Silver-filled wire is a fraction of the cost of solid silver, especially in today's market, and allows certain bracelet designs to be more affordable.
